Indie Dogs
Archaeological evidence suggests that the Indian Pariah Dog existed in the Indian subcontinent as far back as 4500 years ago. Skeletons of dogs found at Mohenjo-Daro and Harappa (Indus Valley Civilization) resemble today’s Indie dog, proving its ancient lineage. Considered one of the few natural (non-human-bred) landraces they evolved organically through natural selection, not selective breeding. Unlike modern purebred dogs, the Indie dog was not developed through artificial breeding. These dogs evolved naturally in the Indian environment, adapting to the local climate, diseases, and survival conditions. Their survival instincts are extremely sharp, making them resilient, intelligent, and low-maintenance
